So now onto this week's wallpaper submission:
Last week I made it to a hiking trail that had been on the news for it's "super bloom" of wildflowers. All the rain we had the last few weeks of winter left the most beautiful blossoms Southern California has seen in a couple of years. Speaking of, a couple of years ago I went to some poppy fields and from that research I knew that they go as soon as they come! Of course, I went immediately (the next day, nighttime is scary) and not going to lie, it was an uphill climb that required all the ice cream and a nap to recoup from but ... the view and fragrance was worth it. Sure, there are rattlesnakes to worry about but, who cares, look how pretty!
Now, it took me a couple of days to go through the photos. But once I did, this one caught my attention immediately! The background (poppy's amongst poppy's) created this yellow bokeh which beautifully illustrates just what this "super bloom" is about.
I imported into Lightroom to tone down the yellow because it's so saturated right out of the camera. I imported into Mextures (creature of habit over here) and softened the edges with a couple of light leaks.
I hope you all enjoy.
