I am going to try and journal my day to day happenings with the Samsung Galaxy Note 3. It will be a slow and steady process getting to know this device intimately inside and out. I really want to take advantage of all it has to offer. My ultimate technology goal has been to have one universal device that will address all my needs as a business tool as well as a life companion that will be my constant connection to everything. Each day, I will be trying to position this device to be just that. This journal will be a brief summary of what that journey entails.
So with the help of some buddies on Twitter, I finally talked myself into picking up the Galaxy Note 3 on Tuesday, just 10 days after it's official AT&T release. What have I gotten done in Day 1?
I took it out of the box, held it in the hand and sat in awe as I was mesmerized by the physical improvements made over it's predecessor. Making a device that appears bigger while feeling smaller is not something easily done. The "leather like" back with aesthetically pleasing stitching is a big improvement to the previous model. The screen is the best display I have witnessed personally due to the perfect combination of size, color and clarity.
I did a complete battery charge. I then proceeded with cleaning up the home screens, disabling the AT&T bloatware and then spent several hours going through the settings application with a fine-toothed comb in an effort to discover every utility and tweak available.
So that was Day 1 with the Galaxy Note 3. More to come...
